BYD, now the world’s largest EV producer, needed a partner that could translate extreme engineering into a human narrative. For TAKT, this was an opportunity to prove that a small, agile Nordic team could deliver world-class storytelling under intense deadlines.
With full access to the record attempt at ATP Papenburg, we built a cinematic narrative that balances extreme performance with the human side of innovation. This project also marked the launch of TAKT Mobility, our new platform for showcasing the future of mobility.
The result is more than documentation of ambition, trust, and technology that will improve the cars we drive tomorrow.

When BYD’s premium brand YANGWANG set out to break the world speed record for a production car, they asked TAKT to tell the story. In less than two weeks from briefing to delivery, we produced a 13-minute film capturing the engineering, people, and emotion behind the 496 km/h milestone.
